Ok. I dont like pure first person shooters, they bore me. Just running around blowing stuff up seems kind of silly. I'm looking for other quality games like SWKOTOR, with some strategy combined with shooting (Hey i used to love bards tale as a kid, anyone remember that, though advanced mapping is nice ;). I'd like to see FF on the X-Box but that doesn't seem like it's going to happen. ANy suggestions after star wars?

    Check out this one: Otogi

If you have the bandwidth I would highly recommend getting one of the demo videos, it is very sweet. The latest XBOX mag had a playable demo of the game and it looked good. I don't know about the shooting part of the game, from what I've seen there are a lot of blade-type/melee weapons.

I too love SWKOTOR - whew. I'm trying to resist playing it right now! Splinter Cell was pretty fun - shooting and stealth oriented play. But otherwise? Not too many RPG-type games yet for that system.

I own all three of the next generation consoles, and to be honest, the XBox doesn't have that many good "non-shooter" games for it. You may want to try Morrowind, a new version is coming out for it sometime in 2004 (I think) and includes both expansion packs from the computer version. Best part is that it won't cost more than 30 bucks. NCAA 2004 and Madden 2004 are great football games and of course, NBA Street 2 has got to be one of the best sports games out there. Finally, I know you said you don't like shooters, but Halo has to be the best game out there (for all systems). If you haven't tried it, do yourself a favor and at least rent it.

Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time is a great game for the Xbox. Stunning graphics and not a mindless shooter/button masher. I think you can pick it up for $20 new now.
